历史沿革
MTSU 自1911年以来培养了90，000多毕业生，校园面积也从最初的40公顷发展到了今天的200多公顷，教师人数从将近100年前的19人增加到800多人。1986年， James McGill Buchanan(1940届)成为MTSU历史上第一位获得诺贝尔奖的校友。[1]
大学概况
中田纳西州立大学(MTSU)成立于1911， 现在是美国中田纳西州历史悠久的公立大学。MTSU是一所集教学与研究为一体的综合性大学，拥有州内最全面的研究生教育项，最多的本科入学人数。学校目前有24，000多名学生，其中包括2，600多名研究生。国际学生目前占1%，该校正在逐步提高其国际影响力，国际学生的数目在稳步增加的同时，本校学生的国际交流活动也在逐步增加。
MTSU位于美国中小型城市Murfreesboro。距离州府乡村音乐之都纳什维尔30分钟车程，开车到“猫王”故居所在的孟菲斯也仅3小时而已。这样的地理位置使得MTSU既有宁静的大学氛围，同时又靠近便捷都市生活。
住宿生活
目前有3500多名学生和家庭居住在MTSU的21栋宿舍楼或公寓楼中。每一栋宿舍和公寓都非常独立，并有专门的职员与学生领袖为其他住宿学生提供服务。宿舍与公寓内设有免费的电脑网络室。宿舍有公共的厨房、卫浴系统，公寓则相对更加独立。学校提供的洗衣烘干等服务也很方便。
学校周边方圆两公里内有许多私人公寓出租，一般卫浴、厨房、健身等设施齐全，价格合理，是很多美国学生与国际学生的首选。
学校旁边走路30分钟左右有一家沃尔玛，购物很方便。周边15分钟步行范围内还有各类国际餐馆，比如泰国菜，墨西哥菜，中餐馆等。
校园生活 学校有专门的学生活动中心(KUC)，许多学生社团坐落于其中。同时KUC大楼中还有电影院，邮局，餐厅等服务场所。各个国际学生组织也经常在这里搞活动，不管学生是来自哪里，总会有适合他们的活动。
健身中心拥有非常全面的健身设备，免费对学生开放。健身中心还经常组织很多户外旅行，每个学生只需交很少的钱，就可以参与登山，划船，滑雪等各种各样的户外运动。
每年的秋季是美式足球的季节，队员，学生，当地群众如火的热情将金秋时节带回炎炎夏日。
总之，和其他美国公里州立大学相似，MTSU的校园生活总是丰富多彩的。
现有合作
中田纳西州立大学素来与中国农业大学有友好合作关系，近年MTSU建立了与中国传媒大学，湖南师大，杭州师大，西北师大，北方工业大学等交换项目的合作。
申请条件
GPA: 2.75
托福: 机考最低195分，笔试最低525分，网考最低71分，或雅思(最低6分)
GRE/GMAT各专业要求有所不同，GMAT的要求为：本科GPA乘以200加上GMAT的成绩大于等于950分(GPA*200+GMAT≥950 )。
