耶鲁大学是一所坐落于美国康乃狄格州纽黑文市的私立大学，始创于1701年，初名“耶鲁学院”。耶鲁大学是美国历史上建立的第三所大学，今为长青藤联盟的成员之一。根据美国新闻与世界报告的一篇名为2008年世界最好大学的索引，耶鲁在全球200所大学中排名第二。耶鲁共有13个专业学院：建筑学院、艺术学院、神学院、戏剧学院、机械与应用科学学院、森林与环境环境研究学院、法学院、管理学院、医学院、音乐学院、护理学院、公共健康学院、宗教音乐协会。在耶鲁大学久负盛名的是它的本科学院、艺术与科学研究生学院、耶鲁法学院。自从美国新闻与世界报告开始统计排名以来，耶鲁法学院每年都排名第一。在1861年，其艺术与科学研究生院成为了第一个颁发博士学位的学院。同时，耶鲁的戏剧学院也很有名，它培养了许多优秀的好莱坞或百老汇明星以及作家。同样，其艺术、神学、森林与环境学、音乐、医学、管理、护士和建筑学院也十分优秀。
