历史
德雷克大学法学院(Drake Law School)由爱荷华州最高法院法官切斯特·科尔(Chester C.Cole)创立于1865年，迄今已有近150年历史，为全美最古老的25所法学院之一。该法学院是美国法学院协会(the Association of American Law Schools)的发起成员，自该协会1923年第一次认证开始即被认证，同时其是美国律师协会(ABA)认可的全美75所白帽阶层(美国法学院优等生协会，Order of the Coif)法学院之一。
德雷克宪法研究中心
德雷克宪法研究中心(The Drake Constitutional Law Center)是由美国国会建立及联邦政府资助的全美仅有的四所宪法研究中心之一。中心的任务是促进对美国联邦宪法本身、形成、根源、原则及其发展的研究。
作为宪法研究中心的基本组成部分的“德怀特·奥普曼讲座系列”(the Dwight D. Opperman Lecture series), 该系列讲座是全美宪法研究的重要学术活动。讲座由德雷克法学院校友、West出版集团前CEO德怀特·奥普曼先生资助，讲座邀请顶尖法学家、法学学者到德雷克讲学。11位美国最高法院法官前来德雷克参与该讲座，分别是：首席大法官罗伯茨( Chief Justice John G.
